We are a family of refugees and immigrants…
My grandparents (now all passed on) refugees from the holocaust losing our homes and war torn

My parents refugees again in 1967, the communist Polish government created a campaign against liberal social reform and this included the Jews.
So the 25,000-30,000 Jews living in Poland at the time chose to leave (there wasn’t much of a choice to stay)

I asked my Dad in depth yesterday about his and my mother’s experience leaving their home country to move to Israel in 1967.

They are on their way to their 50 year reunion in Israel with other Polish Jews who left

They came to this new country, learned the Hebrew language,
And how to crush tubs of hummus:)
My father got his PhD from Technion, the most prominent technical university in Israel and created the family you see here shining today.

Immigrants again we became in 1985 moving from Israel to the US for the desire for an easier life, my father is one of the worlds top experts in water desalination and he was hired in California.

I’m so grateful for this fam here. (Missing my other brother, both sisters-in-law, and the kids in San Diego). When I think about the views on refugees and immigrants I think about our family history and how the ability to be welcomed in these different countries made us who we are and have allowed us to be loving and welcoming to others.

I’m grateful to my ancestors and parents for focusing on what they wanted and having it.

I’d love to discover you and your story. Please share I’m all ears. Sending you all the love from Israel.
