I had to simplify. I was $80,000 in debt and just lost my startup. I had a lease on a new Audi A5, I had $2,200 a mo rent in West Hollywood. Dinners, clothes, dates, travel commitments. So I was forced to simplify and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I fell out of the rat race. I took financial management courses, I looked to where the desire to make money and buy things was coming from and it was coming from a place that was, "I'm not enough". I sold my car, I stopped shopping for nice clothes and found what I needed in thrift stores, I started cooking at home, I went on dates that were inexpensive like hikes, volunteering, walks on the beach. I simplified so I could pay that debt down and be happy regardless of the money I had. 2 years later I'm blissed out: $80,000 in debt down to $9,000, 3 bedroom beach house in Costa Rica, hosting my friends, surfing twice a day, yoga, riding around on an ATV with a cape on. Focused on projects that are meaningful to me from my home office. Realizing how grateful I am for the lessons that were really blessings. Happy Saturday️️
